The South Dakota Native Tourism Alliance is seeking passionate individuals who want to share their Lakota, Dakota, or Nakota culture with visitors from all over the world on August 28th, 2024 in Rapid City. Be a tour guide at the Wild12 Congress in Rapid City. Share your culture and the captivating history of the Black Hills.

Here is how it works

1. Register Using The Form Below.

  • Please let us know if you already have experience in being a tour guide. If you have sufficient experience, you will not be required to complete the training and certification step.

2. Training and Certification.

  • The SDNTA will provide comprehensive tour guide training, both virtually and in-person.
  • Upon completion of training, you will be a certified tour guide.
  • Certification follows 16 total hours of trainings.

3. Be a tour guide on August 28th, 2024 in Rapid City.

  • We are looking for 25 guides for this event. You will be in charge of a tour on your own. We have 5 itineraries created and tour buses lined up so all you need to do is show up and guide.

4. Get Paid.

  • $900 for a full day, $600 for a half day tour.
